Targeted health intervention is the most effective strategy to combat rising health care costs. We administer a health risk appraisal (HRA) to determine the leading health risks that impact your company’s health care costs. A health risk appraisal assesses health risks and provides specific areas for health improvement for your employees. In addition, an aggregate group report is generated that identifies group health risks and provides a blueprint for potential health care cost savings. Analysis of your past medical claims data is also used to determine similar patterns for health risks for your population.
Wellness Connection staff use this information to implement a comprehensive health risk reduction program to target specific employee health deficiencies. Our staff uses the administration of periodic HRAs, as well as the reviews of your medical claims data to evaluate program outcomes and redefine program direction.
Confidential health screenings can be scheduled prior to the administration of the HRA to secure basic biometric data. Readings for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index are examples of biometric data that can be obtained as a part of a company health fair or just as a stand-alone event.
